Indians recorded their first victory in a final match in the Australian soil in all ODI played so far.The Star batsman S.R.Tendulkar scored his first ODI hundred in Australia.After a wonderful bowling performance from the bowlers,Indians restricted Aus. to 239.Record opening partnership of 50 between Sachin and Robin against Aus. in this series,gave the platform for a chance to win this final.Thanks to Rohit Sharma for his elegant half century(66 from87) and S.R.Tendulkar who scored (117 from120) with ten glorious boundries.
Earlier Indian pacemen reduced the Aussies to 24/3 after picking PiyushChawla and PraveenKumar in this important match.Kumar struck twice earlier and Ishant applied breaks to the Australian runs.Harbajan took 2 for 38 and kumar took 2 for 49 after a blistering half -century from Mathew Hayden(82 from 88).
Finally Tendulkar stoled the game and it became a one man show.Lee had no answer,Bracken could not do any much and Johnson went for runs.India won the match easily, with 25 balls to spare with Sachin unbeaten on 117.
